Tom Alden
About Tom Alden
Tom joined the HM Royal Marines in 2000. During his time he was involved in many operational tours and exercises around the world, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Kuwait and Iraq. Shortly after leaving the Royal Marines, Tom went to South East Asia to fulfil his keen interest in teaching recreational diving and also spent some time climbing in the Himalayas. Upon his return to the UK in 2008 he formed TLA Fitness and is dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals through outdoor training sessions, one-to-one fitness programmes and circuit classes. He recently successfully climbed Mt Blanc and continues to enjoy climbing with the goal of climbing K2 one day!
Heather Grimes
About Heather Grimes
Heather is a fully qualified REPs Level 3 Personal Trainer and is currently undertaking her Level 2 British Triathlon Coaching Award. She joined TLA late in 2010 and is a regular instructor at the classes. She runs the very successful TLA morning classes at Wootton and Sunningwell along with coaching the running courses that TLA puts on at regular intervals through the year. She is also a qualified Kettlebell instructor. Heather has a passion for Triathlon having competed regularly since 2005, culminating in representing Great Britain at both European and World Championships. Heather can bring this experience to offer group triathlon coaching along with 1:1 personal training sessions. She is also a mother to two young children, so knows the challenges of getting back into and keeping up a regular exercise routine. About Tom Hemmings
"My ultimate goal as a sportsman is to become a professional footballer and I plan to compete in various Iron Man contests in the near future. In my TLA sessions I aim to ensure that all clients are able to acheive their goals too. In my free time I like to see friends and family when I'm back home, but when in America I enjoy going to the beach and enjoying the sun!" Originally from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, Tom is currently on a Soccer scholarship in Atlanta, USA. He is studying Exercise Health Science at college whilst playing lots of soccer and working as a qualified Personal Trainer. He has been awarded 'Young Player of the Year and his team have won two League titles. He is also involved in various professional football academies. Back in the UK, Tom has been involved in the English cross country championships as well as football training at a high level.
Adam Tarnet
About Adam Tarnet
Born in Reunion Island, Adam discovered Martial Arts at the age of 16 and never looked back. After a spell in the French Army, Adam completed his Premier Diploma course in Level 2 Fitness Instructing. He also an Aerobic instructor and a Boxercise personal trainer. Besides having a black belt in Kung Fu, Taekwondo and freestyle boxing, Adam is also passionate about Chinese Medicine, Martial Art Legend and History and is a practitioner of seated accupressure massage.
