Pollyanna has enjoyed participating in many sports throughout her life. She has been working in the sports industry for over 10yrs. Pollyanna began her career as a hockey coach and eventually moved into cycling including road, mountain biking and BMX. As part of her progression as a coach Pollyanna completed a Bsc in Coaching and Sport Science as well as an Msc in Sports coaching at Loughborough University. During this time Pollyanna was also selected to complete a coaching scholarship with British cycling. As a result she has experience working with all level of athletes from those who just enjoy exercising and those that want to perform at the top.
During her coaching years Pollyanna also completed a personal training qualification with further study in strength and conditioning. Due to one of her cyclists developing terminal cancer, Pollyanna decided to qualify in Sport and remedial massage so that she could help others that were ill, injured or keep her athletes in the top physical condition she could. This brought her into the realm of sports injuries, which she decided to pursue further through completing a Msc in Sports therapy. Pollyanna is a qualified graduate sport therapist and is able to asses, diagnose and treat injuries.
Pollyanna is also a qualified Pilates and Equipilates™ instructor and runs classes in both of these. In her spare time she enjoys riding and looking after her horse called Travis, riding her bike and playing some hockey when she can. Pollyanna is always available for a chat about injury prevention and management to TLA members to help keep everyone enjoying classes and physical activity.
